Jiribam, March 26 2012: The Zeliangrong Students Union Jiri Area (ZSUJA) has clarified that the jawans of 5 MR are not involved in imposing illegal taxes upon vehicles plying on NH 37 .

But it has been learnt that those jawans are from 8 MR posted at Makru who have been collecting excessive and illegal taxes.

Convenor of ZSUJA Lungang Kamei urged the authority concerned to penalise the erring 8 MR jawans posted at Makru or else severe form of agitation would be launched at the earliest.
