IWCF extends aid in containment zones

Tamenglong, June 25 2021: In light of surging cases of Coronavirus in Tamenglong, Indigenous Women and Children Foundation (IWCF) with support from ActionAid Guwahati and few individuals through Tata Institute of Social Science Alumni distributed relief materials comprising edibles, soaps, masks and hand sanitizers to 60 families affected by Covid-19 under the "Covid-19 Emergency Support" Programme.

In a release, Covid Child Care Centre, Tamenglong member Gaiduailung Gonmei stated that the beneficiary families belong to seven wards of Tamenglong town and four villages namely, Tamenglong (Inrianglong), Dailong, Duigailong and Khangchuiluan.

The beneficiary families had some of their members tested positive for Covid-19 and were under self-quarantine or self-isolation as per government directive.
