Headmen and Elders' Forum (HEFO), Kasom Khullen condemns

Imphal, June 25 2012: Headmen and Elders' Forum, Kasom Khullen subdivision, Ukhrul district has vehemently condemned the alleged assault of one Jajo Wungreishang, village/NREGS secretary of Kasom Khunou by a combined team of Assam Rifles and Imphal East district police commandos after arresting him from Laipham Khunou on June 19 .

A statement issued by the HEFO, Kasom Khullen subdivision said Jajo was being tortured even after providing his identity by producing his Id card issued by the PO/BDO of Kasom Khullen Block.

It said that he was coming down to Imphal to drop his sister-in-law.

It urged the concerned authority as well as the security forces not to cause such inhuman acts in future.
