Imphal, October 20 2016: The executive committee of the Manipur University Teachers' Association (MUTA) has strongly come out against the statement allegedly circulated by the visiting team from UGC on October 19 regarding the reservation to admission impasse at the university.

In a statement, MUTA condemned the manner in which the UGC team handled the current impasse in MU and an emergency general body meeting has been convened on October 21 at the MUTA Office Hall, to deal with the developments at MU.
