3 killed in road mishap

Imphal, February 20 2021: A road accident claimed lives of a man, his wife and a 19-year-old youth today.

The accident happened on Tiddim road near Moirang Okshongbung Leikai at around 1.20 pm when a two-wheeler Suzuki Access collided with a RC-200 motorcycle.

The 19 year-old has been identified as Md Sadik Muktar Khulakpam (19), s/o Kh Ayajuddin of Kwakta Ward No 8 while the husband and wife have been identified as Philem Yaima Singh (70) and Philem (ongbi) Mema Devi (68) of Moirang Okshongbung Leikai.

The Suzuki Access scooty driven by the husband with his wife on the pillion was coming from Tronglaobi towards Moirang while the 19-year-old was coming from the opposite direction.

The bodies of the three victims have been deposited at RIMS morgue by the police.
