DLSA Chandel organises legal sensitisation programme

Imphal, December 19 2021: A one day legal sensitisation programme on the topic 'laws of child adoption and elimination of illegal adoption' at Liwa Khullen village community hall in Chandel District.

The sensitisation programme organised by the District Legal Services Authority, Chandel under the aegis of Manipur State Legal Services Authority was attended by members of Manipur Catholic Women Organisation (MCWO), PLVs, youths of local clubs, members of Catholic Youth Organisation, ASHA workers and anganwadi workers, said a statement issued by DLSA, Chandel.

Advocate Kh Jacky Lucy Lamkang spoke on the laws of adoption under the Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act, 1956.She talked about various types of Child Adoption and eligibility criteria for prospective parents.
