30th annual meeting of Writers Forum Manipur held

Imphal, June 17 2018: The 30th annual meeting of Writers Forum Manipur, presided by its president, Lamabam Birmani Singh, was held today at Manipur Hindi Parishad Imphal.

The meeting resolved to urge the Central Govt to recognise Manipuri dialect as a classical language and urged the State Govt to take up welfare schemes for writer.

During the meeting, a quarterly publication titled "Sahityagi Pao" (102th publication) was also released, apart from poetry recitation.

The poetry were recited by Yumlembam Ibomcha as chief guest.
