Literary forum
Sahitya Akademi, in association with Malem Ayeekol, Khabam Lamkhai will organise a one-day literary forum on goddesses in Manipuri culture and literature cum poets' meet on July 15 at Asheiningthou Garden Matai, the organisers informed.
ZU congratulates
Zeliangrong Union (AMN) has congratulated Prof Gangmu-mei Kamei on being appointed a member of the North Eastern Council (NEC).
The Union also thanked PM Narendra Modi for appointing Prof Kamei as member of the NEC.

Troops of the Red Shield Division presented sports items to students' organization of Eden village and Rajamei village of Senapati district on July 12 for promoting and enhancing sports facilities in the remote villages, according to a statement issued by the PRO (Defence), Imphal.
KSA denounces
The Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) has strongly denounced the reported atrocious act of the police against a student protester of Kyamgei who was also made to interpret ILP as 'Ima Lairik Paningde' .
In a statement, KSA secretary general S Bidyananda said that the State Home Dept should take fitting action against the personnel involved in the act including OC of Kakwa PS at the earliest.

Curfew relaxed
District administrations of both Imphal West and Imphal East have relaxed the curfew being imposed in the twin districts since July 8 from 5 am to 5 pm tomorrow (July 15) .
