Imphal, December 13 2012: A man was found dead along the bank of Imphal River near Thoubal Sekpi Khongnangkhong today.

The deceased has been identified as Thiyam Borsingh (48), s/o late Th Mukta of Thoubal Kiyam Leikai.

The body has been retrieved by the police and deposited at the mortuary of RIMS for post mortem.

According to family members, Borsingh, who run a shop at Thoubal Wangmataba, has been missing since November 30 last and a missing report had been lodged with the Thoubal Police Station.

He had around Rs 30,000 with him when he had left the house on November 30. When the body was found today, it had started decomposing.
