Imphal, October 13 2012: Chief of Joujangtek village has appealed the post commander of the Ngariyan Post of the Army to stop harassing and threatening Nehgin, a hotelier, and villagers of Joujangtek in connection with the alleged sheltering and arms concealment of a ZUF cadre recently.

A statement issued by chief of Joujangtek, Henkhopao Haokip said Nehgin and a hotel owner of the village were not intentionally helping the ZUF cadre but out of fear they were providing the ZUF cadre food and not revealing the place where the arms of the cadre was kept.

Stating that Joujangtek villagers are against such act of providing shelter to UG elements, the chief appealed the army to stop harassing them.
