Imphal, March 13 2018: 11 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised an all community security meeting at Moreh on March 10.The meeting was held to discuss various issues of mutual importance and benefit for the security of all communities in the broder town, said a press release issued by PRO IGAR(S).

Chiefs of all villages, presidents, vice-presidents and secretaries attended the meeting with a total strength of 22 including 18 men and four women.

The meeting discussed various issues like security infrastructure development, promoting sports and maintaining peace and harmony in the region.

The representatives of various communities pledged to continue their efforts for overall development of the society.

All the delegates were satisfied by the discussion and unanimously desired to conduct such a meeting on a regular basis, since it promotes mutual understanding and friendly relations between the Assam Rifles and the local populace as well as amongst all the communities residing in Moreh, it added.
