Imphal, December 12 2012: The third foundation day of Thangmeiband Development Organisation (TAKDO) was celebrated today at Ebudhou Naothingkhong Pakhangba Shanglen, Thangmeiband Lairenhanjaba Leikai.

The programme was graced by MLA of Thangmeiband AC, Khumukcham Joykishan; President of TAKDO, Mutum Rajendro; President of Senior Citizens' Forum, Manipur Ningthoujam Binoy; National Awardee Thokchom Ibetombi; and Retired SDO Taikhui Rongmei as the chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.

The celebration programme was marked by showcasing of various cultural dances besides presentation of mementos to achievers in different fields.

A book entitled 'Manipuri culture da Wareng khara' written by Dr Mangangcha Thoudam Achou and TAKDO calendar for 2013 were also released during the function.
