Hatchlings rescued

Imphal, November 12 2015:
People for Animal (PFA) Manipur rescued about eleven owl hatchlings from Waithou Lake, where cleaning works of the lake are taking place.
According to a statement, members of KEMADO, Chandel rescued an Oriented Pied Hornbill from the hands of hunters and handed the same to PFA.
PFA also rescued a Spotted Jungle Dove and a Quail.
An Eagle, which came under attack from Crows, was rescued by one E Sanatomba of Khurkhul Sebok Leikai.
He handed the rescued bird to members of PYDC and the same was later handed over to PFA.
Inspector Umar Alam, OC of Tengnoupal PS also handed over a Juvenile Macaque (monkey) to PFA.
However, the monkey died due to mouth infection, it said.
