World Day Against Child Labour observed

Imphal, June 12 2019: Tulihal and Keithelmanbi Battalions of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) observed "World Day Against Child Labour" by organising an awareness drive on prevention of child labour Wednesday, said a statement of PRO IGAR (South).

Patsoi Company Operating Base (COB) of Tulihal Battalion organised a debate cum seminar on prevention of child labour at Combined Public school, Sagoltongba.

During the debate, various issues concerning child labour were brought forward by the students, said AR.

Canchipur COB of Keithelmabi Battalion on the other hand also organised an interactive lecture on child labour at Standard Royal Mission School, Canchipur.

The students were informed about the ill effects of child labour and various Government schemes to assist the children, said AR.

Over 250 students and staff of the schools attended the event, added AR .
