Jiribam, November 10 2012: Various bodies of Jiribam have announced to launch intense agitation against Power department if the authority concerned fails to restore Power supply in the subdivision before Ningol Chakouba.

This was announced during a joint press meet held by various Jiri based bodies at JIMPAL Office today.

Representatives of JIMPAL, AJMP, WAKAK, AJUCA and JDO participated in the press meet.

Pointing out that power supply in the subdivision failed since October 22 due to transformer's snag.

The transformer has not been installed since then though it was said to be taken to Silchar for repairing.

The representatives said that the Power department should be held responsible for any outcome in case the warning is not heeded.
