Imphal, December 07 2024: Demanding action against gender based violence, members of District Women Committee of United NGO, Imphal West organised a candlelight vigil at Haobam Marak Chingtham Leikai on Friday.

The candlelight vigil was held as part of the observance of International Day for The Elimination of Violence Against Women & Girls on the theme, "Every 10 minutes, a woman is Killed, No Excuse, Unite to end Violence against Women".

Placards with the writings such as "Save Women and Children", "Stop Genocide", etc were displayed at the demonstration.
