ZHRF expresses concern over missing document

Zomi Human Rights Foundation, reacting to the missing documents of sixty crore Indian rupees, under the state social welfare department, which were meant for child welfare, handicapped persons, old age pension, women and nutrition schemes, has called for termination of the concerned officials.
The Foundation has further threatened to take the matter to NHRC in case the documents are not traced at the earliest.
The negligence of the official and administrative, reflects the attention that Social Welfare Department has, towards the development of children as well as the needs for protection of the Women Rights, said the foundation in a statement.
Alleging the matter as a violation and encroachment on the Rights of innocent Children, women and civilians, as guaranteed in the Indian Constitution, ZHRF added that such lapses on the part of the officials and the concerned department, has violated the provision of the Human Rights Act, 1993 .
The foundation further appealed the concerned authority to trace the documents at the earliest.
It also demanded provision of benefits to the intended beneficiaries as per Government schemes.
