Imphal, March 04 2016 : Locals of Lamphel Sanakeithel today staged a sit-in-protest against the brutal assault of filmmaker Mayanglangbam Raghumani alias Epu today.

The protest was organised by Sanakeithel Nupi Kanglup.

A protester questioned why Epu was subjected to such an inhuman act.

She said that the filmmaker was beaten severely without any reason and warning.

Strongly condemning the incident, the woman urged the group concerned to clarify why such a brutal act was meted out to a renowned filmmaker.

She also urged the authority concerned to arrest the culprits at the earliest.

Sanakeithel Nupi Kanglup is ready to stage other intense agitations if the attackers are not booked at the earliest.
