Imphal, June 01 2013 : With regard to the news item about Opposition parties coming to an agreement on fielding common candidates in the Lok Sabha elections as published today, the Manipur State Congress Party (MSCP) has clarified that the party has not yet decided to support or endorse the proposal to set up common candidates.

A press release issued by MSCP president Kh Devabrata said that MSCP representative attended the meeting held at Hotel Imphal yesterday on verbal invitation over phone and signed the attendance register.

It also categorically stated that MSCP would not support any candidate fielded or supported by BJP.
