Imphal, March 31 2020: State police arrested 220 people for violating lockdown and seized 173 vehicles today.

The arrested persons were produced before Executive Magistrates and a fine of Rs 11,400 was imposed, said sources.

Imphal West police arrested 135 under 109 CrPC and seized 119 vehicles.

The remaining 85 persons were arrested from different places in Thoubal district.

19 were detained at Thoubal PS, 34 at Lilong PS, 23 at Yairipok PS, 9 at Khongjom PS .
