Imphal, February 28 2018: Unidentified individuals, suspected to be underground militants, placed a hand grenade near the DTDC courier service located at Changangei Mayai Leikai, Imphal West today.

According to information from the spot, a suspected parcel was found near the staircase of the DTDC courier service office at Changangei Mayai Leikai, opposite Tulihal International airport main entrance gate, at around 1.15 pm after which the police were informed.

On checking the parcel, the police team found a hand grenade inside.

The police later picked up the police and a case has been registered at Lamphel PS .
