Imphal, July 30 2015:
International Federation of Journalists (IJA) - Asia Pacific decided to chalk out a gender policy after deliberating various inconveniences faced by women journalists.
It was decided at the South Asia Media Solidarity Network Digital Campaigning Workshop held from July 26 to 29 at Ojo Hotel, Colombo.
The meeting also decided to launch a campaign on social media against sexual harassment.
Sonia Sorensangbam, who represented IJU in the workshop presented paper on sexual harassment.
35 women journalists from Australia, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Maldives, Bhutan and Nepal took part in the workshop.
