Eye cum medical camp conducted

Chandel, September 27 2017:
The 39 Assam Rifles of HQ 28 Sector, under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General of AR (South), in collaboration with Wildlife Institute of India and Manipur Health Department conducted a mega eye cum medical camp at Tokpaching village, Chandel district today .
A medical counselling cum interaction programme was also held .
Altogether four doctors along with ten other medical staff rendered their services during the mega eye and health camp .
Meanwhile, health counselling was also given on the preventive measures of eye diseases, common diseases, awareness on communicable and non-communicable diseases etc.
Senior, local leaders of Tokpaching lauded the initiative of Assam rifles in organising such camps for the locals .
Nearly 236 patients including 143 males, 81 females and 12 children were screened for various eye diseases, diabetes, obesity, hypertension and blood test were also conducted for AIDS and Malaria.
