Chandel Naga Peoples' Organisation (CNPO) demands

Imphal, October 26 2012: The Chandel Naga Peoples' Organisation (CNPO) has raised eight demands to the State Government and submitted a memorandum to the CM, MLAs of Tengnoupal and Chandel to this effect.

Among others, the CNPO demands included construction of separate Transport dept Office at Chandel headquarters; construction of Tourism Home at Cdl hqtrs; deputation of 2 SDC staff in DC Secretariat and one SDC staff in BDO/SDO Chandel; taking up action against irregular ministerial staff of ZEO Chandel; action against work agency of mini stadium Chandel.

Taking up action against work agency in the construction of 50-bedded hospital at Chandel; provision of manpower at BSNL, landline dept office at Chandel hqtrs and action against the delay of resumption of black-topping in between Pallel and Chandel are also included in the demands of the CNPO.
