Imphal, May 26 2018: Shinghat Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters 27 Sector Assam Rifles organized a cleanliness drive at New Market Yard, Singngat on 25-26 May 2018 .

The cleanliness drive by the Assam Rifles Battalion was conducted as part of the "Swachh Bharat Abiyan" in conjunction with the Singhat Village Simte Youth Organization and Singngat Youth club members.

This endeavor both by the Security Force and the locals of the village has uplifted the mood of local populace located in and around Assam Rifles.

During the drive Assam Rifles troops in conjunction with the Youth Club members swept the market yard and cleaned the garbage dumps, thereby ensuring a cleaner environment.

The initiative of Assam Rifles in ensuring pollution free Manipur has been deeply appreciated by one and all and has further strengthened the resolve among the people of Manipur to ensure that this drive goes a long way.
