Imphal, June 25 2016 : The Rongmei Naga Council, Manipur (RNCM) has expressed extreme happiness over the election of the Corporators and Ward members from the community to the Imphal Municipal Corporation, Imphal and wished them a proseprous career ahead.

G Gaidon Rongmei, Corporator, Ward No 1, Joy Kabui, Corporator, Ward No 21, G Bino, Corporator, Ward No 24, Sujata Phaomei, Corporator, Ward No 25, Meibon Phaomei, Corporator, Ward No 26, Hounilung Gonmei, Member, Ward Development Committee and Rajen Gangmei, Member, Ward Development Committee were elected at the recently held IMC election held on June 2. The organisation also congratulated Panti Gonmei, Presi- dent of Ruangmei Luh Phwam (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) on being conferred the Tribal Peace and Harmony Award, 2014-15 by the Tribal Research Institute, Govern- ment of India on June 14, according to a press release issued by the secretary of RNCM.
