Imphal, July 23 2014: The All Manipur Progressive Farmers' Association (AMPFA) has in a press release lauded the Government of Manipur for its Cabinet approval to the Draft Manipur Conservation of Paddy Land Bill, 2014 which would be tabled in the ongoing State Assembly Budget session.

The release further mentioned that the people of the State and its peasant community will be not lack behind in agriculture products from the rest of the world if an Act to protect the agriculture land is enforced in Manipur, it said.

AMPFA further appealed to the Government of Manipur to set up Agricultural Products Marketing Act so as to guarantee agriculture products of the poor farmers, it added.
