Chiefs, bodies endorse Chandel bandh

Imphal, April 23 2013: The Naga Chief's Association, Chandel and the Kuki Chiefs' Association, Chandel have endorsed the ongoing indefinite Chandel District bandh enforced by the CNPO.

The two apex chiefs' bodies said the bandh imposed is reasonable as CNPO is taking the cause which is for the betterment of the entire people of Chandel.

The two bodies further warned of launching economic blockade in a couple of days from now if the Govt continues to remain adamant to the demand.

Meanwhile several civil organisations in Chandel including the Anal Naga Chiefs' Association ,Chakpikarong Sub division; Anal Sinnu Ruwl, Anal Lenruwl Taangpi, Lamkang Students' Union and Anal Naga Tangpi have also endorsed the bandh enforced by the CNPO.
