Imphal, September 19 2018: The International Tour of Editors for the year 2019, organised by Editors Guild Manipur (EGM), will be made to Malaysia and Singapore.

A press release issued by the secretary general of EGM yesterday informed that the tour is being organised with the aim of exposing the Editors of Manipur to the sociopolitical, geopolitics and trade and commerce of South Asian countries which will be major participants in India's Act East policy in which Manipur, as the first port-of-call will be playing a major role.

So far, the Editors have travelled to Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam and the exposure has helped many Editors understand some perspective of the Nations with which Manipur will be engaging in the future.

It further invited the EGM members to deposit a sum of Rs 25,000 as initial deposit towards the tour expenses by October 25 and added that the tour is expected to flag off in the second half of March 2019 and will last seven days.
