Imphal, June 19 2012: A one-day legal awareness program was conducted today at Keirak Keithel Lampak Community Hall by the Manipur Women Foundation under the guidance of the Manipur State Legal Services Authority.

Presiding over the program was Keirak zilla parishad member Ningthoujam Anou Devi with DIG Sh Dwijamani Singh as the chief guest.

Social worker Kangujam Ningthemjao Singh, Pradhan of Keirak GP Khuraijam Ibochouba Singh, 27 AR D-coy commander Maj Mahindra Singh Pathania, CJM Thoubal A Noutuneshwori Devi, SCERT (Manipur) Project Director Nongthombam Ibomcha Singh,OC Kakching PS S Nandababu Sharma and up-pradhan Wabagai GP Mayengbam Omila Devi, were the guests of honour.

As a part of the program advocate Meihoubam Rakesh spoke on 'Rights of Food & NREGA' while advocate Th Premlata Devi presented on 'Protection of Women from domestic violence Act' and advocate Kh Arunjoy Singh on 'Rights of senior citizen' .
