Imphal, October 18 2012: A man who went out yesterday was found dead under a bridge that connects Shantipur of Cachar Lakhisora and Alu Bazar today, reports our Correspondent.

The man has been identified as Thokchom Maniton Singh (42) s/o (L) Yaima Singh of Kamrangkha, Jiribam.

Leishem Club, Kamrang-kha convened a public meeting in connection with the incident this afternoon at Jirighat Government Junior High School.

The meeting resolved to form a Joint Action Committee to take up further course of action against the incident.

The meeting also decided not to claim the body until the culprits are booked.

Maniton went out from his house yesterday to inquire about the money that was borrowed from him.

Maniton is survived by his wife, three daughters and two sons.
