Chandel, September 18 2015 : After 24 hours, Maring Uparup Assembly (MUA), on Thursday, called off its 48 hours bandh after consultation with CNPO and Committee on Protection of Tribal Rights, Chandel.

A statement issued by MUA president L Modun Charanga has also extended gratitude to all the chairmen, secretaries of Maring villagers, youths and volunteers for supporting the bandh on the first day on September 17 .

MAU has also charged Chandel DC Robert Ksh, CEO Darshingso and MLA D Korungthang of following a divisive policy.

The assembly has further demanded resignation of MLA DK Korungthang and a clarification from CEO Darshingso for his reports on the ADC Chairman election on September 9 .
