Thoubal, December 17 2012: Under the sponsorship of Manipur Legal Service Authority, Lovely Nature, Thoubal Kiyam Siphai and Social Development Association, Kiyam Siphai organised a one-day legal awareness programme at Thoubal Sabal Tongba Konjil Leikai today.

CJM Thoubal and Thoubal District Legal Service Authority Secretary A Noutuneshwari was the chief guest while Thoubal Municipal Council Ward No 13 Councillor S Lata and Ward Member S Ibotombi were the president and guest of honour respectively.

In the programme attended by around 100 persons, Advocate Kh Modhuchandra spoke on the topic, 'Crime on women and child' .

Advocate N Modhu and chief guest A Noutuneshwari also spoke on the topics, 'Domestic violence Act' and Free Education and women rights' respectively.

An interaction session was also held with the participants and resource persons.
