MMOF hosts Iftar party

Manipur Muslims Online Forum (MMOF) today hosted an Iftar party for Muslim people of rural areas at Rizayuddin Wali Masjid, Irong Khunou Thoubal Turel Mapal Mohalla, aided by Indian Muslim Relief and Charity (IMRC), USA.
Around 730 people attended the Iftar party.
Speaking at the event, Md Abdul Hamid, General secretary of Jami Atul Ulma, Manipur explained that during Ramzan, Muslim people observe fast from dawn to dusk everyday for the whole Ramzan month.
Iftar, he continued, is a religious observance where the community gather and break their fast.
The event bears great value to Muslim people, added Abdul.
MMOF president Md Nasir Ahmed spoke on the belief behind the observation of Iftar.
He said, the observation is aimed at helping needy people.
This is the second Iftar that MMOF has organised, he added, and would continue to host similar events in the future.
