Imphal, January 17 2014 : Loktak Power Station, NHPC Ltd conducted the 26th batch of Free Cataract Operation on elders at Shija Hospital and Research Institute, Imphal on January 16, 2014 .

The initiatice was taken up under the project "Netra Jyoti" .

Free medicine, subsidized cost of operation, transportation and fooding were provided.

Free spectacles will also be distributed to the operated patients, according to Dr KK Singh, Sr Deputy Chief Medical Officer.
