Imphal, July 13 2021: Chandel Battalion of IGAR (South) conducted tree plantation drive in Pallel and Modi village on Monday towards promoting "Go Green Initiative" .

In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that tree plantation drives were conducted with the aim to control the global warming, make environment pollution free and spread awareness on the importance of clean environment.

As part of the initiative, nurseries were developed and saplings of various trees planted.

The drive has spread a sense of responsibility and care towards environment amongst the locals and the troops, it added.
