One dies in mishap

Imphal, December 11 2012: A motorcyclist was killed when a truck knocked him down along Kairang Litan Makhong-Sangakpham road today around 8.30am.The deceased motorcyclist has been identified as Md Riyaz Khan (22) s/o Alimurat of Kairang Awang Leikai.

According to a police source, the victim was riding a numberless (AF inscribed) Yamaha FZ motorcycle when he was hit by a truck bearing registration No MNP-6253 .

The body was handed over to family member after conducting post-mortem examination at JNIMS.

Besides taking the truck into their custody, Heingang PS has registered a case in connection with the incident.
