Imphal, August 11 2015 : Troops of 20 AR recovered large quantities of tobacco products from two persons yesterday at Bongyang along NH-2 .

A reliable source said that the tobacco products were seized from Md Wahidur Rehman (33) of Sora, Thoubal district and N Suresh Kumar (30) of Bashikhong, Imphal West who were coming in separate Maruti vans.

540 packets of Bengali spit tobacco, 124 packets of Talab, 35 packets of Rajnigandha, 25 tins of Baba black zarda, 20 packets of Tulsi and 5 packets of Nevla were recovered from them, the source said.

The items were handed over to Food Safety Officer, Chandel.
