Gold bars worth Rs 2 crore recovered

Tengnoupal, October 10 2019: 43 Assam Rifles has recovered gold bars worth around Rs 2 crore.

Based on inputs, a team of 43 AR were on vigil yesterday night at around 6 pm at N Champhai area when a suspicious man appeared.

When the AR personnel asked him to stop, the man fled the scene dropping a bag which was found containing 5 gold bars weighing 1 Kg each, said AR.

The gold bars have been deposited with the Customs Preventive Forces Moreh.
