UNC meeting

The much hyped meeting of the United Naga Council (UNC) has been postponed to September 11 following an unavoidable circumstance, reports NNN.
UNC general secretary Gaidon Kamei said the meeting was slated for 5 pm of September 10 but the need arose to postpone the meeting.
According to Gaidon Kamei, the UNC meeting will start from 6 am of September 11 where it will decide whether to review the ongoing agitation or not.
On September 9, Special Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Prakash Mishra and leaders of the UNC held a closed door meeting on the prevailing situation.
The MHA official also brought a letter from the Centre with reference to the UNC memorandum of August 30 submitted to the Prime Minister.
After seeing the letter and having met the MHA official, the UNC leaders expressed happiness and termed it as the 'encouraging gesture of the Government of India' .
It is learnt that tomorrow's UNC meeting is likely to be over by lunch time.
