Imphal, February 10 2016: A two- day training programme on "Road Safety, Traffic and Motor Vehicle Regulations" organised by Transport Department, Government of Manipur in collaboration with Central Institute of Road Transport (CIRT), Pune began today at State Academy of Training, Takyelpat.

M Lakshmikumar Singh, IAS, Commissioner (Transport), Government of Manipur, H Rosita, IAS, Director (Transport) Govt of Manipur and Clay Khongsai, IPS, IGP (Zone- I) attended the inaugural programme as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

The training programme was attended by transport department staff, motor dealers, members of driving school, traffic control police personnel.

P Kakade, CMDC, CIRT, Pune spoke about the profile of CIRT, Pune.
