Shillong, December 09 2008: Terror attacks by Jehadi elements have no takers amongst the Shillongite Muslims.

Speaking to NNN, Muslim faithfuls in Shillong said that terror attacks link to Muslim terrorism has no religious basis.

After the morning the Eid Ul Zoha prayers at Laban ground, a lots of Muslim faithfuls spoke about respect, love and peace and term the terror activities associated with the religion as a fanatic move by few.

After the prayers that were followed by the religious camaraderie, many opined that fundamentalists have hijacked Islam for their own political cause.

Decrying the misused of Islam, Noor Warjri, a member of the Shillong Waqt Board said, ''The term Jehad means to protect your own property , good and the country and misusing of the guidelines laid by Prophet Mohammad in creating terror is wrong and unIslamic''.
