Imphal, April 09 2012: Election to the new Chairman of the Hill Areas Committee (HAC) will be held on April 12.In this regard, Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh today called on Governor Gurbachan Jagat at Raj Bhavan this evening, said a reliable source.

Although it was not clear whether Ministry expansion was deliberated with the Governor, election for HAC Chairman was discussed in the meeting, which lasted around 40 minutes, the source said.

After the meeting, a notification for the said election was issued today.
