Imphal, September 08 2021: Imphal West district police com-mando personnel carried out surprise frisking and checking exercises at three different locations of Thangal Keithel today under City police station.

The operation was conducted under the command of L Amarjeet, Addl SP (Operations) as a part of their routine security and preventive measures to curb any kind of unwanted incident, said a police source.

In all, 200 individuals were verified by the commando team at the frisking and checking conducted one after another at Jalal crossing to Naga Nala, Kalibari and Bora Gali from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm, the source said.

No one was however detained during the operation, it added.
