Longmai bazar powerless for over a week

Noney, August 08 2024: Longmai Bazar area has been without power for over a week now, and it is causing extreme inconvenience to shopkeepers, customers and public even as shopkeepers are using candles to light up their stores.

The power outage was caused by breakdown of a transformer installed at Longmai Bazar.

The defunct transformer was transported to Imphal for repair, but no positive response has been received as yet from authority concerned.

Meanwhile, the public have urged the government to provide regular power supply from the Yurembam-Noney line.
