Imphal, October 07 2023: The Coordinating Committee Against the Action of Chin-Kuki Narco Terrorist & Illegal Immigrants has urged the Government to begin the destruction drive of poppy plantations as soon as possible.

The resolution to mount pressure on the Government to carry out the poppy destruction drive was taken during a public meeting held at Singjamei Chingamathak Pishum Hao Ground.

It may be mentioned that Chief Minister N Biren Singh had on Friday announced that the destruction of poppy plantations using IAF choppers would start after a survey of poppy plantations is completed.
