CCpur, October 07 2015: The body of a twenty-year-old youth who was found hanging from a tree under mysterious circumstances have been handed over to his family today after an autopsy was conducted at RIMS.

The body which was found hanging and bore several injury marks and blood stains all over was referred to Imphal yesterday for forensic examination by a local doctor as he refused to make a final call on the exact cause of his death.

The results of the autopsy conducted today however are not available as yet, said a source.

Meanwhile, the Zomi Students' Federation today said they condemn in the strongest term the killing of Thangliansiam and the dastardly act of the killers in trying to shield the murder as a suicide by hanging it from a tree.

It also called on the authority concerned to find the killers at the earliest and award befitting punishment to all those involved.
