Couple arrested with drugs

Imphal, June 05 2022: A team of Narcotics and Affairs of Border (NAB) arrested a husband-wife duo with 1kg of brown sugar around 1.30pm on Saturday.

The arrested man has been identified as Doukhokam Touthang (62) s/o (L) Dou-zang Touthang of Molkon Bazar and his wife as Thinneng alias Neneng (41).According to a police report, a NAB team was conducting checking and frisking operation near Ikou during which the drug consignment was recovered from the couple, who came riding a Honda Activa.

NAB PS has registered a case in this regard and further investigation is underway.
