National integration tour

Assam Rifles of 28 Sector under Hqs IGAR(S) organised a National integration tour to Kolkata under 'Ops Sadbhavana' for the children of Samtal Salient.
The tour team included 28 children and two teachers from Sehlon, Changjal, Phoilen, Tuitong, M Bijangphai, JM Moljol, Wayang, Old Samtal and New Samtal villages of Chandel district.
The team was flagged off from Kakching by Col Sandeep Singh Bajaj, Additional Sector Commander Hqs 28 Sector today.
The tour is scheduled to visit various historical monuments places in Kolkata.
The team will interact with West Bengal Governor MK Narayanan and Lt Gen Dalbir Singh, Army Cdr, Eastern Command.
The aim of the tour is to make the children inculcate the feeling of being the part of mainstream India and also to show them that they belong to a State which is striving to be developed and prosperous, said an AR press release.
