MBC observes Maundy Thursday

Imphal, April 01, 2013: Reliving the night on which Jesus Christ gave His disciples to love one another as He Love them (John 13:34, 35), Maundy Thursday (Holy Thursday), also known as Feet Washing Ceremony, was observed as part of the Holy Week celebration in the evening of March 31 at MBC Centre Church, Chingmeirong.

People from all walks of life attended the event, the main highlight of which included washing of feet of people from different communities, young and old by the Deacons of the Church.

On the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam also demonstrated highest model of humility by washing the feet of one significant state leaders and a loving fatherly figure in the person of Rishang Keishing, MP of Rajya Sabha.

That very Christ-like act moved the hearts of all the spectators, and re-affirmed their belief If you want to be great in God's Kingdom, learn to be the servant of all".
